Frequently Asked Questions

No. StuntBums is a project started in 2010 by Leah Petersen and Anthony Pesch, two stunters living in Brooklyn, NY. We started the website and traveled 30,000 miles in four months learning about competing, producing media and what stunting means to people from coast to coast in the US. We are not a club; StuntBums is a lifestyle which promotes following your passion and making something out of nothing.

We had both been riding and stunting for years and felt we could use our skills to make the sport a stronger community for more people to participate in and enjoy. We both had professional careers and skills that could benefit the sport; technology development, marketing, web design, photography, writing, etc. So we decided instead of working for global brands, we would put our skills to use developing the underground sport we love.

We believe stunting is a unique activity that offers a community, purpose and happiness to people who choose to not live by society’s rules and we fully support that.

We do! We are a two man/woman team. We do our own design, web development, social media, photographs, video, editing, etc. All things “StuntBums” are created by us, except our logo, which was designed by two rad designers in NYC.

Yes! We love user submitted content, if you have an idea email us at StuntBums@gmail.com. StuntBums is a community driven site; we develop features, media and products from rider’s suggestions.

Not really. Since we are riders ourselves, we’re not out to make money off the sport. We try to keep food on the table a roof over our head through our webdesign business and doing shows. So if you know anyone who needs a website – let us know!

We are super excited when people want to help, because that means we are achieving our goal of making people proud of the sport. There are many ways to get involved. Creating content, like how-to videos, covering events like XDL or AFS is useful and you just need a simple Flip video recorder. And if you want to rock SB gear, grab a shirt and stickers from the store on our website to rep in the lot and on the streets. Lastly, share our articles and videos on your Facebook and Twitter and join in the conversations, you are what makes stunting, stunting and your voice counts.

To get involved or become a SB correspondent send us a note at: StuntBums@gmail.com

We love working with brands that support the sport and make products that help stunters do what they love. We do product reviews, testing and can produce in-depth video reviews. If you’re interested in working with us or advertising on the site, send us an email.
