Review: Relocating your key on a stunt bike is mainly a safety precaution that makes sure you won’t be kicking your key during tricks and accidently turning off you bike. Kicking your key mid-wheelie (especially fast wheelies) can make for a nasty wreck, so even if you’re just killing the streets occasionally, it’s not a bad idea to consider relocating your key.
My previous bikes have had a pretty janky setup with zip ties that held my ignition near the rear of my frame under my seat. For this bike I went 100% legit with a fancy bracket from StunterX Stunt Shop made specifically for relocating the ignition on a 636. It even comes in impressive packaging with hardware and directions!
The directions help you mount the bracket to the back of your frame and then mount the ignition right up to the side of the bracket. Works great and now my ignition is solid and won’t turn off unexpectedly!
** The videos here depict crashes of a similar nature to kicking your key. One rider kicks his ignition and the other runs out of gas, but you get the point. **
