After 1,000 Miles of Thrashing: Teach and his BMW S1000RR
No one can argue against the fact that Chris "Teach" McNeil is one of the most unique fixtures in stunt riding today. Teach, who moved from teaching Latin to putting BMW's motorcycles to the ultimate test of stunting for a living, has been earning the adoration of fans through his race-inspired riding for many years now. 2010 was an exciting year for Teach and his fans as he hit the concrete on BMW’s new S1000RR which he states is, "Simply put, this bike is single-handedly the baddest bike known to man." And we must agree, possibly the only thing "badder" than a S1000RR is Teach on the S1000RR.
We have been watching Teach rip up the competitive surface in the XDL Championship Series all year long and holding our breath each time the S1000RR pulls through yet another mach 10 signature Teach highside. Stuntride's Thomas Evans asked him a few questions about the season while we were at Indy XDL, specifically about how the S1000RR has held up to the extreme abuse of stunt riding. It seems Teach has an excellent blend of aftermarket stunt parts on his German engineered masterpiece to create a bomb-proof machine that shreds both on the lot and the track.
Thanks to Stuntride and Teach for the interview, we are all looking forward to more S1000RR action in 2011 at the XDL series and beyond.
I need to learn to give it gas like this man.. 0:32 is nasty.
