XDL's first round of the season was held at the Maryland International Speedway, with rain kicking off the Saturday practice, the sun dried things up by Sunday for some of the best riders in the world to define stunting for the crowds.
This year XDL has guest visitors from Poland and Japan, along with the dedicated XDL competitors from America and a few new faces out trying to make a name for themselves in the sport. Rafal "Stunter13" Pasierbek, our athlete from Poland, qualified first on Saturday, but was overtaken by reigning champion and Yamaha rider Bill Dixon by the end of the weekend.
Triumph and ICON rider Ernie Vigil grabbed third as the usual top-three killer Luke Duke dropped to seventh. Rookie Empire rider Joel Figueroa started the weekend with a promising top 10 qualifying score, but dropped to 12th after seriously sending his frame to the graveyard. Nick Apex, one of the nations top riders, will be in the judges booth this season due to an injury he sustained earlier this summer.
Here are the final results, check out the XDL Show in Long Beach August 3-4 and stay tuned for more coverage!
