Changing the Front Wheel Without Stands
While this might sound like a odd subject to cover chances are this situation is bound to arise in your stunting career and you’re better off knowing what to do. You need to remove your front tire and you don’t have a set of stands. A quick fix when you’re in a pinch is to set the bike over on the cage. Make sure you are able to pull the axle out and go to town. If you have to run the tire to a shop, or leave the bike for any reason, make sure the bike isn’t going to roll too far over by propping something under it.
Obviously this is not a replacement for rear stands, but if the world depends on your removal of the front tire in the middle of nowhere, you can pull it off.
another way is to use a rear stand a tie down and a basic car jack.. most riders should have these things lol.. i put the bike on the rear stand then strap a tie down from the swing arm to the stand.. then just jack the bike up with the jack under the header.. with the strap this is actually very very sterdy i do it all the time
