Setting up a stunt bike - what a headache.
It can be confusing, over whelming and -yes- expensive! We are starting a "StuntBums Stuntbike Setup" series to give you an idea of what real stunters are really running on their bikes.
Obviously there is no CORRECT setup, it's a lot of preference, personal style and limitations of the bike you ride. I've been running this setup on my bike with little problems for about the last 2 years. I have no real complaints about anything, lately I have been wanting to try 7-degree clipons, to see if that gives my hands a bit of relief and I also want to give a stronger handbrake a try (perhaps a 8-piston).
My favorite part is probably my HT Moto seats - they are just so functional and good looking. Check the video, let us know if you have any questions and go shopping with the links below if you're on the market.

Nice video! I really like the idea of having "StuntBums Stuntbike Setup" series. All in all, good video! Keep 'em coming.

Leah. Them FI clip ons are sexy IMO. It shows in Your style. When u goin FF? Dope clip. My bike getting pimped out. I should have Riggi do a clip of my G6 setup
Ya! That would be awesome. I really want to go FF in 2012 - we will see what kind of plastics I can find around here in the next few months.
Wow!!! that was awesome! First time to see a sexy stunt with Ms. Leah. Philippines loves the STUNTBUMS.
why freestylers mostly use kawasaki zx6r or 636s any specific particular reason to that
Well F4i's used to be really popular - because they have strong frames/subframes/motors. The 636's are pretty strong too, but have more power than the F4i's. Basically you can crash a lot and your bike will still run
what does larger sprockets help in ???
They provide more torque and make your bike pull strong in a wheelie.
u mean we can carry longer wheelies ??? but for that we need to change the clutch setup too, right ???
Not longer, it's just better for slow stunts, you have more "low-end" power.
so kawis are TOUGH ?? huh????
:-)
They older ones are pretty tough, I guess, it's all about the ratio (power to overall machine durability)
what's the abbrev. for XDL???
Extreme Drift League!
hey Leah i have some unanswered questions
but u guys don't drift there, u do freestyle stunting then why is the name such any logic behind
XDL got its start with Randy (part XDL owner) who was mixing motorcycles into a car drifting event at the time. Eventually he decided to stop the cars and pursue the sportbike freestyle full time, and XDL just stuck.
have u rode pulsar 220 ever before ???
need ur expert opinion abt that ride and the stunt setup required to be done please kindly help me with it
if not then Jorian have his opinions are welcomed too and i watching all ur learning videos :-) u r a good teacher SWEAR!!!!!
I have not gotten to, but they seem pretty cool!
oH!!! thanks Anthony for sharing the knowledge :-)
Anthony and Leah please do me a favor i need stunt setups for pulsar220 please help me with it if u haven't rode it then Jorian has so please kindly ask him out for the help.... please do that for me guys
I think Jorian's bike was ready for him when he arrived BUT a "Pulsar bike setup" is a GREAT idea, I will try to work on that for you
thanks and i have seen those videos of Jorian riding pulsar those bikes were stock
hey Leah wassup any conclusions to my queries ???
hey if we upgrade to larger sprockets do we need to change the clutch plate setups ??? need some detailed explanation pleeeease :-)
No need to change the clutch, stock is fine.
:-) are u in France or in States ???
do u run a stunt school ??? ya, then can i join u guys pleaseee....
We don't have a school but you can check out our friend's Steve's school: http://www.stuntbums.com/articles/611/stunt-school-learn-wheelie
my aim is to get into XDL and perform within a year or two i'll get to that point i just have 4 month to complete my grads and then m into riding n freestyling back again :-)
Well lots of practice is the key, most of the XDL riders have been riding for more than 10 years!
loooong way to go....... hey are clip ons better or the bar handles ???
hey Leah i've some unanswered questions
With bike setups it's all preference, what your style is and what you like.
ok so i need to start all over again from zero to get to know whats my style as it has been three years that i haven't even pulled a idle wheelie :-(
hey Leah how can we chat online ???
Hey chintan, iam kriss from India, iam making a video of "How to set an INDIAn Stuntbike" and it will shortly aired by Leah :-) wait on!!!!
It's going to be awesome for sure!
yeah Leah, i guarantee you that :-)
waitn desparately waitin KRISS....... want that ASAP!!!!!!!!
yes leah working on it!!!!
hey Leah did you buy your plastics cut down or were they done specifically for your bike?
holla leah! whats up gurl! been tracking your burnt tires all over the internet ;) you're great gurl!
