Pierre Renaud: The 50 King Moves On
In America we joke that the French riders must have "something in their water" due to their amazing skill and style on two wheels. The real secret is France starts 'em young. Most kids start on bicycles and 50cc scooters here, by the time they are 19 they are ready to start killing a 600cc bike with natural style and ease.
Considering all the problems we face in our sport, legal issues, spots, the danger factor - 50's really make a lot of sense. They make the whole sport so much easier for young people to get into and enjoy casually. It's hard to imagine a "stunt park" full of teens riding 600's but 50's....is more realistic.
Pierre Renaud, a French 50cc rider has been pushing the limits of his scooter for years now, developing a style that is just as exciting to watch as anyone on a big bike. Now he's wanting to swap to a 600 and we talked to him about how his 50-skills will transfer to a big bike.
StuntBums: When did you start stunting?
Pierre: I am 19 now, I started stunting the 50 when I was 17 and stunted a bicycle before that.
StuntBums: What was it like going from the 50 to a 600? Did you pick up tricks easily?
Pierre: The first 600 I rode was my friend Tigroo's. I finaly felt what a big bike was like and since then I have been planning to sell my 50 and buy a 600. But for now it's just borrowing the bikes of friends. I ride a ton, it takes up all my free time. After work I need to let off steam, so with a lot of training you naturally get a good level.
PS: My style has grown a a lot without me even noticing since Tigroo started stunting with us!
StuntBums: Since you have such a famous style on your 50 - do you have any concerns starting to ride the 600's? Are you worried you will lose some of your personal style?
Pierre: Thank you - I am not worried about swapping to the 600. I feel confident I can easily reach the same level I have on my 50 on the 600. It will be cool - the bike and the training!
En français:
StuntBums: Quel âge tu as eu quand tu commencé stunting - Tu as quel âge maintenant?
Tu as appris les stunts facilement?

Sorry guys, Pierre's video was removed by the guy who created it. This guy decided to try and make a quick dollar, telling us we needed to pay him in order to embed the video, or he'd removed it. In fact, he told us he'd sue us for embedding his video at one point in our conversation, LOL.
Sorry Pierre, maybe we can come make a video with you soon.
YEA,IM waiting to see his footage on a bigger bike
