Jump to Spreader
Jump to spreader is a great first trick to get your started learning some mean straight-line combos.
Ant and I both give some tips on getting the hang of jumping to spreader, since I am a newb to the trick and he has been doing the jump for years. The biggest part of this trick is confidence and staying on the gas! It might seem scary to jump around mid-wheelie, especially if this is your first combo, but once you do it you'll think..."Aw...that wasn't bad at all!"
Start in a smooth seatstander, on idle or with a bit of speed, dip your bike back and jump. You do have to kick your legs up a bit to land in the tank right. Stay on the gas and enjoy your daily dose of combo wheelies!
I personally was having problems staying on the gas; I would jump and the bike would go back to two wheels. It finally clicked with me when I tried jumping from sitdown to seatstander then IMMEDIATLY to spreader. The momentum from the jumping made it more natural and I didn't have time to over-think the trick.
