Jesse Toler's 2007 Suzuki GSXR1000 DriftBike is kinda hard to miss, perhaps impossible to miss. Longer than most Main Streets in middle America, this FJ Motorsports creation is sure to be getting a lot of attention as Jesse starts to create media and perform shows on it. We asked Jesse to write down the highlights of the bike so you can be well aquainted with her details when the videos start dropping.

Mods:

  • 12 inch extended 240 RUNMAN INC built swingarm
  • HEL brakelines
  • Vortex 55 tooth custom sprocket
  • Custom RUNMAN INC built 4 piston rear brake caliper bracket with a 4 piston caliper
  • Power Commander
  • Carrozzeria wheels
  • 240 rear tire
  • Motor is a FJ Motorsports special recipe at just over 200hp

Inspiration for design: The concept for this bike was put together by myself and FJ motorsports. I mentioned what I'd like to see done and them being a performance/custom shop put their touches on it. I would safely say it came to be the sickest drift-specific bike on the planet thus far.

StuntBums: Why...and how...

Jesse Toler: This idea was sparked by my popular drift abilities at a show for FJ Motorsports. Being they build some of the sickest bikes around they saw me ride my little 636 and slide it all over the place they instantly came up with this idea. Keep in mind the guys over at FJ is some of the most down to earth, motivated, comical , and slightly unhinged crew you will ever come across. Obviously, they built a 20,000 plus dollar bike to slide around. It was only days after they asked what I could do on a big bike that I was receiving pictures of the build.

StuntBums: I'm sure you were dying in anticipation to twist her throttle - what was the first ride like?

Jesse Toler: The 1st ride was interesting to say the least. They still to this day haven't told me what exactly they did to this thing, but I knew it was going to be insane. I showed up to the shop with my gear to test ride this thing down the main street in front of the shop. I fired it up and knew that this thing was going to be way more powerful then I expected! Pulling out of the driveway it instantly slid out all the way to lock and I stayed on it all the way through 3rd gear and this was still on stock gearing - so before I could look down I was well over 130mph.

The whole FJ crew was standing out front and when they saw a big white cloud of smoke coming back to the shop they said "omg the motor blew....." and before they could finish that thought I slide back by at the top of 3rd rolling enough smoke off the rear tire to shut down traffic for a few minutes. As I rolled a nice long stoppie back up to the shop door I soon realized they were all way more excited then I thought they would be to see me beat on their prized piece of work. From that day on its been a none stop hustle to drop a high production video of this machine at the beginning of 2012.

StuntBums: Can you spill any beans about what we can expect from you and your gixxer in 2012?

Jesse Toler: I have many ideas for this bike and know that it will begin a frenzy of drift-specific bikes to drift the planet; but I'm not quite ready to release these ideas however I will be sure to keep you Bums up to date ;-)

StuntBums: What was the biggest engineering challenge?

Jesse Toler: The biggest engineering challenge to the build was finding the right gearing to control the insane wheel speed. With stock gearing the bike was capable of spinning the rear wheel up over 100mph in first gear, in a flash, making it almost impossible to control the traction to hold a controlled slide event with the stickiest tire we could find - but she is dialed in now and ready for action.

StuntBums: Any advice for people looking to start specializing a bit more in drifting?

Jesse Toler: Best advice I can give for someone looking to do this is wear lots of gear cause this is a whole different ball game from sliding a stuntbike in 1st gear. Keep the back of the bike high and buy the best front tire and brakes you can find cause sometimes things don't go as planned and Plan B is always STOP RIGHT NOW!

StuntBums: Shoutout to everyone who made it possible:

Jesse Toler: I def want to thank FJmotorsports.com for this sick machine and believing in me enough to make it reality. RUNMANINC for making her even that much more insane.
