Please help me setup my new bike!
Hi everyone! A little background just so you know where I'm coming from: I just got my first street bike, it's an '06 636. I've been wanting to get into street bikes/ stunting for a while now and when I saw this bike for a pretty good deal, I scooped it up. I haven't even ridden it yet because it's been snowing and I've only had a little time to check it out in the shop. My biggest problem is since I got it already fightered, I'm not really sure how it is supposed to go together so I have a couple questions about what looks like missing hardware.

It is a little rough in some spots. It was stolen from the first owner, then wrecked, then rebuilt and sold to the second owner who used it as a commuter. Should be just fine for me to learn stunting on though, I'm sure it will get some more scratches!
The first is what looks like missing top motor mount bolts, here are two pictures of the places I'm talking about:

Next is the radiator is currently being held on by wire on top and the bracked is broken on the bottom:

How do you secure the radiator on a street figher?
It also appears to be missing two bolts for the gas tank? Or are these just to hold the fairing on? It doesn't seem like the tank is loose:

I can't wait to start getting it setup for stunting! I'm thinking about making a cage for it myself.
If you put a crash cage in the bike it will bolt up to those motor mounts and most cages come with hardware. The bolts on the tank are missing and you can order them from any kawi dealer. As for the radiator in the second pic it looks like it is off the mount. Google radiator cages and i think there is a couple companys that make them.
Thats a great first bike. And Mr.klos is right with all that info. Just make sure that the head on the motor by the motor mount bolts that are missing that there are no cracks and you can check to make sure were you are missing your gas tank bolts that your gas tank is not cracked. and wont leak gas. Then like Matt said google rad cages and that will fix ur rad problem hope everything works out for you. Good luck and safe stuntin.
Thanks guys, that's exactly the info I was looking for! The mounts look pretty good, I dont know why he would be riding it without them. He also gave me a little bag of hardware he said was from the fairings, I'll look there for the tank bolts. The tank is in good shape, I'm pretty sure it is a replacement that used to be blue.
I think the front brakes need new pads, too. Just rolling it in the shop, the lever needs to be pulled 3/4 of the way before it starts working. Unless that's normal.
One of the spool mounts is broken off the swingarm, too. Probably isn't a problem, right? I don't have a spool stand.
You should try bleeding the front brakes sounds like you got some air in the lines.
I was thinking the same thing. I tried a trick I learned on dirtbikes where you rubber band the lever in the fully pulled position and leave it overnight. Usually it works great, but maybe it doesn't work on radial masters...
Since I plan on making my own cage, I think I'll order up some of the missing hardware and get some replacement OEM pads because I've read in a couple places OEM works great for stunting.
I'm going to change the oil, too and I think I'll replace the filter too. Is OEM a good way to go on those too or is there a great aftermarket one I should check out.
I would stick with them OEM filters and all real replacement motor parts. You never have to worry if its a OEM part
OK cool. I figured out my brake problem, too. I finally got to look at it before taking it for a ride today. Pads still have a lot of life on them. I bled the calipers, but they were already good. Then I noticed a bleeder nipple on the master itself, so I squeezed the lever and cracked it open. Out pops a huge bubble! Now the brakes feel great, and best of all I went for my first street bike ride today!!!
Nice!! That's a great feeling first time you ride you bike.
Here's a little update. I haven't been on here in a while. Short story: I was trying to figure out why the headlight wasn't working so I started taking parts off... Before I knew it, the bike was in pieces and I was neck deep making a full steel frame! Here are some pictures:

You can read all about it on stuntride, here: http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthread.php?t=39492
And in case anyone was wondering what exactly goes into making a frame, I documented my process here: http://stuntride.com/vbstunt/showthread.php?t=37966
Still no stunting, but as soon as the metal comes, I'll be starting on a cage and then I'll be practicing some wheelies!
